Type: kshetra
Scene: A group of Vedic brāhmaṇas in sacrificial attire offer a calm, philosophical stuti to a blue-hued (Nīla) divine presence, shown as a cosmic, all-pervading light behind the local shrine/linga or deity icon.
The highest devotion recognizes Śiva not only as a deity of a place but as the all-pervading Ātman/Brahman sustaining all beings.
The tīrtha associated with Nīlarūpa is exalted by declaring its Lord to be universal and all-pervading, making worship there especially potent.
None directly; it establishes the contemplative (jñāna-bhakti) understanding behind tīrtha worship.
