Transliteration

evaṃ viṣṇoḥ padaṃ tatra saṃjātaṃ munisattamāḥ | sarvapāpaharaṃ puṃsāṃ tadā viṣṇupadī smṛtā

Translation

Ainsi, ô meilleurs des sages, l’Empreinte du Pied de Viṣṇu se manifesta en ce lieu. Ôtant tous les péchés des hommes, elle fut alors appelée « Viṣṇupadī » dans la mémoire des fidèles.
