Skanda (deduced from Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya narrative style)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee performs kṛcchra with a small water pot and minimal food; above, Vaikuṇṭha opens—Viṣṇu enthroned—while attendants beckon; heaps of dark ash-like sin are blown away by a divine breeze.
Austerity undertaken in devotion during sacred seasons purifies sin and leads toward divine proximity.
Vaikuṇṭha is mentioned as the spiritual destination; no earthly tirtha is named in this verse.
Practice the Kṛcchra penance during the Lord Janārdana’s śayana period.
