चातुर्मास्येऽव्रती यस्तु तस्य पुण्यं निरर्थकम् । सर्वतीर्थानि दानानि पुण्यान्यायतनानि च

cāturmāsye'vratī yastu tasya puṇyaṃ nirarthakam | sarvatīrthāni dānāni puṇyānyāyatanāni ca

Mais celui qui n’observe aucun vœu durant Cāturmāsya, son mérite devient sans fruit. Car même les fruits de tous les tīrtha, des dons et des autres demeures du mérite deviennent inefficaces pour lui sans cette discipline.
