Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 86
तथा यज्ञाश्च ये सर्वे क्त्वयादानादि काः शुभाः । ते सर्वे न क्रियंते च चूडाकरणपूर्वकाः
tathā yajñāśca ye sarve ktvayādānādi kāḥ śubhāḥ | te sarve na kriyaṃte ca cūḍākaraṇapūrvakāḥ
De même, tous les sacrifices propices—avec la dāna (don sacré) et les rites qui s’y rattachent—ne sont pas accomplis ; et les saṃskāra, à commencer par la cérémonie de la tonsure (cūḍākaraṇa), ne sont pas entrepris non plus.
