एकस्मिन्वचने प्रोक्ते दश ब्रूते क्रुधान्विता । विरूपा भ्रममाणा च सर्वलोकविगर्हिता । कन्यादानफलैस्तेषां तत्रासां च सुखं भवेत्

ekasminvacane prokte daśa brūte krudhānvitā | virūpā bhramamāṇā ca sarvalokavigarhitā | kanyādānaphalaisteṣāṃ tatrāsāṃ ca sukhaṃ bhavet

Lorsqu’un seul mot est prononcé, elle en réplique dix, emplie de colère—laide, errante, et blâmée par tous. Pourtant, par le mérite du kanyādāna, l’offrande d’une jeune fille en mariage, le bonheur naît pour eux, et pour ces femmes en ce lieu.
