Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 25

ततस्तु चन्दनादीनि दीपांतानि समाददेत् । ततः पाकं समादाय पृच्छेद्विप्रान्द्विजो त्तमान्

tatastu candanādīni dīpāṃtāni samādadet | tataḥ pākaṃ samādāya pṛcchedviprāndvijo ttamān

Ensuite, qu’on prenne les offrandes, depuis le santal jusqu’à la lampe. Puis, prenant la nourriture cuite (préparée pour le śrāddha), le deux-fois-né doit interroger avec respect les brāhmaṇas éminents (sur l’assentiment et la procédure).
