श्राद्धं तेषां प्रकर्तव्यं चतुर्दश्यां नराधिप । तेषां तस्मिन्कृते तृप्तिस्ततस्तत्पक्षजा भवेत्
śrāddhaṃ teṣāṃ prakartavyaṃ caturdaśyāṃ narādhipa | teṣāṃ tasminkṛte tṛptistatastatpakṣajā bhavet
«Ô roi, pour ces défunts, le śrāddha doit être accompli au quatorzième jour lunaire (caturdaśī). Lorsqu’il est fait ce jour-là, leur tṛpti—leur apaisement—naît en conséquence, en accord avec le rite de cette même quinzaine.»
