इति शापेन देवानां निर्दग्धेयं महातिथिः

iti śāpena devānāṃ nirdagdheyaṃ mahātithiḥ

Ainsi, par la malédiction des dieux, ce grand tithi fut « brûlé », c’est-à-dire rendu impropre au rite.
