श्रीभगवानुवाच । एष गौर्या पुरा कृत्वा निजांगोद्वर्तनं कृतः । निर्मलेन कृतः पश्चान्नराकारश्चतुर्भुजः

śrībhagavānuvāca | eṣa gauryā purā kṛtvā nijāṃgodvartanaṃ kṛtaḥ | nirmalena kṛtaḥ paścānnarākāraścaturbhujaḥ

Le Seigneur Bienheureux dit : « Jadis, la Déesse Gaurī, après avoir fait une pâte du frottement de ses propres membres, le façonna. Puis, de cette substance pure, il fut formé : d’apparence humaine et pourvu de quatre bras. »
