ब्रह्मणः स्पर्धया येन पुरा सृष्टिर्द्विजोत्तमाः । प्रारब्धा च ततो देवैः प्रणिपत्य निवारितः

brahmaṇaḥ spardhayā yena purā sṛṣṭirdvijottamāḥ | prārabdhā ca tato devaiḥ praṇipatya nivāritaḥ

Par rivalité avec Brahmā, jadis il entreprit une création, ô le meilleur des deux-fois-nés ; puis les dieux, s’inclinant en hommage, retinrent cet acte.
