Type: kshetra
Listener: King (rājan)
Scene: A kingly patron, hands folded, invites a serene Veda-knowing brāhmaṇa at a festival time; attendants prepare seats, water vessels, and offerings near a tīrtha setting.
Expiation is not casual; it is to be done with faith, auspicious timing, and guidance of genuine learning.
This verse does not name a tīrtha; it gives procedural dharma within a Tīrthamāhātmya chapter.
Choose a parva-kāla with śraddhā and invite a Veda-Vedāṅga proficient Brāhmaṇa as part of the prāyaścitta.
