एवमुक्त्वा स विप्रेंद्रो जगामाऽभीप्सितां दिशम् । मृकण्डोऽपि ततस्तस्य चक्रे मौंजीनिबन्धनम्

Transliteration

evamuktvā sa vipreṃdro jagāmā'bhīpsitāṃ diśam | mṛkaṇḍo'pi tatastasya cakre mauṃjīnibandhanam

Translation

Après avoir ainsi parlé, le chef des brāhmanes s’en alla vers la direction qu’il désirait. Puis Mṛkaṇḍu accomplit pour son fils l’attache de la ceinture de muñja (le rite sacré d’initiation).
