Type: kshetra
Listener: dvijendra / dvijottama
Scene: Bhagavān’s solemn promise of liberation at the final moment; a symbolic scene shows an elderly devotee at death, mind fixed on the deity, with divine light dispelling shadowy ‘ajñāna’ forms.
The Lord’s compassion at a tīrtha is portrayed as overriding even inadvertent faults, culminating in liberation.
The Śiva-associated tīrtha of Adhyāya 209 where snāna and pūjā are promised to yield healing and ultimate release.
The verse itself gives a salvific assurance; it is tied to the preceding acts of tīrtha snāna and worship.
