विश्वामित्र उवाच । एतत्ते सर्वमाख्यातं यत्पृष्टोऽस्मि नृपोत्तम । श्राद्धार्हा नागरा येन नागराणां व्यवस्थिताः । भर्तृयज्ञेन मर्यादा कृता तेषां यथा पुरा
viśvāmitra uvāca | etatte sarvamākhyātaṃ yatpṛṣṭo'smi nṛpottama | śrāddhārhā nāgarā yena nāgarāṇāṃ vyavasthitāḥ | bhartṛyajñena maryādā kṛtā teṣāṃ yathā purā
Viśvāmitra dit : Ô meilleur des rois, je t’ai expliqué tout cela, comme tu me l’as demandé : comment les Nāgaras sont jugés dignes du śrāddha et comment les Nāgaras sont réglés selon l’ordre. Leur limite de conduite fut établie par le Bhartṛyajña, comme aux temps anciens.
