Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 22

सर्वेषामेव लोकानां रसत्यागस्तथैव च । कोटिहोमस्तु निर्दिष्टो ब्रह्मस्थाने यथोदितः । सर्वस्थानविशुद्ध्यर्थं स्थानवित्तेन केवलम्

sarveṣāmeva lokānāṃ rasatyāgastathaiva ca | koṭihomastu nirdiṣṭo brahmasthāne yathoditaḥ | sarvasthānaviśuddhyarthaṃ sthānavittena kevalam

Pour tous les êtres, il fut pareillement enjoint de renoncer au « rasa », c’est-à-dire aux jouissances des sens et aux mets de choix. Et, comme il est dit, un koṭi-homa (dix millions d’oblations) fut prescrit au Brahma-sthāna. Pour purifier tous les lieux, cela doit être accompli uniquement avec les ressources appartenant à ce lieu même.
