Puis il se leva de lui-même et prépara sa propre couche bénie ; et, les pieds lavés par Sītā, il s’étendit ensuite pour dormir.
Narrator (puranic narrator within the Tīrthamāhātmya)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sītā gently washes Rāma’s feet; Rāma prepares a simple, auspicious bedding and lies down. The scene is intimate, pure, and quiet, with a forest-hermitage atmosphere.
Domestic dharma is sanctified through humility and mutual service; such purity of conduct supports pilgrimage and worship.
The adhyāya’s larger arc glorifies Gokarṇa; this verse depicts the dhārmic conduct preceding the tīrtha-journey.
An implied act of pāda-prakṣālana (washing of feet) as a gesture of reverence and purity, though not framed as a formal rite here.
