न वरिष्याम्यहं तेन सुतां तेऽहं नरसिप । निर्दाक्षिण्यमिति प्रोच्य दशार्णाधिपतिस्तदा
na variṣyāmyahaṃ tena sutāṃ te'haṃ narasipa | nirdākṣiṇyamiti procya daśārṇādhipatistadā
«C’est pourquoi, ô seigneur des hommes, je n’épouserai pas ta fille.» Disant : «Ce serait manquer à la droiture et à la bienséance», le roi de Daśārṇa parla ainsi en ce temps-là.
