ब्राह्मण्युवाच । अष्टवर्षा भवेद्गौरी नववर्षा तु रोहिणी । दशवर्षा भवेत्कन्या अत ऊर्ध्वं रजस्वला
brāhmaṇyuvāca | aṣṭavarṣā bhavedgaurī navavarṣā tu rohiṇī | daśavarṣā bhavetkanyā ata ūrdhvaṃ rajasvalā
La femme brāhmane dit : «À huit ans on l’appelle Gaurī ; à neuf ans, Rohiṇī ; à dix ans, on la nomme jeune fille ; au-delà, elle devient rajāsvalā, une fille ayant ses menstrues.»
