एतदस्य द्विजेंद्रस्य वयस्यैर्हास्यसंयुतैः । येन शुद्धिमवाप्नोति नो चेन्मृत्युमवाप्स्यति

etadasya dvijeṃdrasya vayasyairhāsyasaṃyutaiḥ | yena śuddhimavāpnoti no cenmṛtyumavāpsyati

« Voilà ce que ses compagnons, en riant, ont imposé à ce chef des brāhmanes : par cela il peut recouvrer la pureté ; sinon, il rencontrera la mort. »
