Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 30

यथावह्नौ तथा तोये मन्त्रवत्तद्भवंशुभम् । हूयते संविधानेनयज्ञपात्रैः सम न्वितम्

yathāvahnau tathā toye mantravattadbhavaṃśubham | hūyate saṃvidhānenayajñapātraiḥ sama nvitam

De même que les oblations sont offertes dans le feu, de même aussi dans l’eau—accompagnées de mantras—l’offrande auspicious est versée comme il convient, selon l’ordre rituel, avec les vases sacrificiels prescrits.
