सूत उवाच । ततस्तु पंचमे चाह्नि संजाते ते द्विजोत्तमाः । श्वेतधौतांबराः सर्वे सुस्नाताः शुचयः स्थिताः
sūta uvāca | tatastu paṃcame cāhni saṃjāte te dvijottamāḥ | śvetadhautāṃbarāḥ sarve susnātāḥ śucayaḥ sthitāḥ
Sūta dit : Puis, lorsque advint le cinquième jour, ces meilleurs des deux‑fois‑nés se tinrent prêts : parfaitement baignés, purs au dedans comme au dehors, et tous revêtus de vêtements blancs fraîchement lavés.
