Scene: A traveler-guest arrives; the householder rises, offers arghya and āsana, washes the guest’s feet, and welcomes him with respectful words; the moral emphasis is on the host’s duty.
Hospitality is a central pillar of gṛhastha-dharma; neglecting a guest is the true moral failing.
The focus here is dharma (atithi-pūjā), not a named tīrtha in this verse.
Atithi-pūjana—receiving, serving, and honoring the guest as a sacred obligation.
