A woman pleading with her lord/husband

Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra (contextual)

Type: kshetra

Scene: The wife clutches her garments or folds hands, declaring she will die if abandoned; the husband stands conflicted, travel staff in hand; the children nearby, sensing distress; the shrine path recedes behind them.

FAQs

It frames fidelity to a vowed course (and to one’s dependents) as a serious dharmic responsibility, not a casual choice.

The surrounding passage points to Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra as the intended sacred locale, contrasted with ‘elsewhere’ (anyataḥ).

None explicitly; it is a narrative admonition about not departing.
