Lorsqu’il est satisfait, tous les dieux s’en vont dans la joie ; et les Pitṛs aussi s’avancent vers lui, passant de l’éloignement à une présence favorable, face à lui.
Maheśvara (Śiva) (deduced from context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A radiant deity, newly satisfied, sends waves of light; devas depart smiling upward, while translucent pitṛ figures turn from back-facing silhouettes to front-facing, approaching with uplifted hands.
Pleasing the rightful recipient of worship brings harmony: devas rejoice and ancestors become favorably disposed.
The verse is thematic; the chapter later connects this satisfaction and merit to Atithi’s tīrtha in the Hāṭakeśvara area.
Ensure the intended worship/honoring is done properly so that devas and Pitṛs are satisfied—especially relevant to śrāddha contexts.
