नाममात्रेण देवस्य दुःशीलेन यया पुरा । अनेनाराधितः पूर्वं स्वमांसैरेष भास्करः
nāmamātreṇa devasya duḥśīlena yayā purā | anenārādhitaḥ pūrvaṃ svamāṃsaireṣa bhāskaraḥ
«Autrefois, cet homme de mauvaise conduite n’adora cette divinité que par la seule invocation du Nom. Et auparavant encore, ce Bhāskara (le Soleil) lui-même fut apaisé par lui au moyen de sa propre chair.»
