ऐश्वर्येऽपि स्थिते भूरि न मया सुकृतं कृतम् । कदाचिन्नैव जप्तं च न हुतं च हुताशने

aiśvarye'pi sthite bhūri na mayā sukṛtaṃ kṛtam | kadācinnaiva japtaṃ ca na hutaṃ ca hutāśane

Même au sein d’une prospérité abondante, je n’accomplis aucun acte méritoire. Jamais je ne récitai le japa, ni n’offris d’oblations dans le feu consacré.
