अग्नये स्विष्टकृतैति यावदात्मानमाक्षिपेत् । तावद्धृतः स सूर्येण स्वहस्तेन समंततः
agnaye sviṣṭakṛtaiti yāvadātmānamākṣipet | tāvaddhṛtaḥ sa sūryeṇa svahastena samaṃtataḥ
Alors qu'il s'apprêtait à se jeter (dans le feu), en disant « À Agni Sviṣṭakṛt (Svāhā) », à ce moment précis, il fut retenu de tous côtés par Sūrya de sa propre main.
