Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 25

सोऽपि नित्यं ददौ भोज्यं विप्रस्यैकस्य च द्विजाः । प्रोच्य तं ब्राह्मणं पूर्वं सामपूर्वमिदं वचः

so'pi nityaṃ dadau bhojyaṃ viprasyaikasya ca dvijāḥ | procya taṃ brāhmaṇaṃ pūrvaṃ sāmapūrvamidaṃ vacaḥ

Alors lui aussi, ô deux fois nés, donnait chaque jour de la nourriture à un brāhmaṇa. Cependant, il s'adressait d'abord à ce brāhmaṇa avec des paroles conciliantes et disait ceci.
