Apsarogaṇa (the Apsarases)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A group of luminous apsarases descending with flowing garments and garlands, approaching the fasting ascetic Vṛndā at the riverbank; their gestures are inviting, her posture remains composed.
Celestial allure and promises of heaven can appear as distractions; steadfastness in dharma and tapas is implied as superior.
The episode belongs to the Tīrthamāhātmya stream that culminates in the sanctity of Vṛndāvana near Govardhana.
No explicit ritual is prescribed; the verse depicts a persuasive invitation to svarga rather than a dharmic injunction.
