Au dixième tithi (jour lunaire), les Vasus doivent être honorés; et tout particulièrement aussi au huitième—par ceux qui aspirent au ciel, avec des offrandes variées et des observances festives multiples.
Sūta (deduced from immediate narrative frame in Tīrthamāhātmya)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A bright daytime Daśamī celebration in the kṣetra: devotees offer lamps, cloth, and food; eight Vasus appear as radiant guardians of elements, blessing the assembly.
The Purāṇic path links devotion at a sacred site with specific calendrical observances, promising refined enjoyments and heavenly merit.
The instruction is part of the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra / Amareśvara-kuṇḍa Māhātmya in Nāgarakhaṇḍa.
Worship of the Vasus on Daśamī (and with special mention of Aṣṭamī), performed with appropriate observances/offerings (vilāsa).
