अत्राभावात्ततो भूयो न सस्यं संप्रयच्छति । ब्राह्मणेभ्यः समुद्दिश्य पितरं स्वं यथा पुरा

atrābhāvāttato bhūyo na sasyaṃ saṃprayacchati | brāhmaṇebhyaḥ samuddiśya pitaraṃ svaṃ yathā purā

Faute de pluie en ce lieu, la terre ne donnait plus de récoltes. Aussi, comme auparavant, fit-il des offrandes aux brāhmaṇas, les destinant à son propre père parmi les Pitṛ.
