The sages (Munis)
Tirtha: Mukhārā-tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Brāhmaṇas (dvijāḥ) as intended pilgrims
Scene: Brāhmaṇas bathe at a river ford in Śrāvaṇa—cloud-laden monsoon sky, wet stone steps, offerings of water; a subtle aura indicates sins being washed away.
Faithful tīrtha-bathing, aligned with sacred time, supports moral purification and a return to dharmic living.
Mukhārā Tīrtha (the tīrtha named in the immediately preceding verse) is the bathing place referenced.
Perform snāna (ritual bathing) at this tīrtha during the month of Śrāvaṇa with śraddhā (faith) for pāpa-kṣaya.
