sādhutvenātha cauryeṇa kṛṣyā vā vāṇijena vā | tvamupānayase bhojyaṃ na me cintā prajāyate
Father
Listener: putra (son)
Scene: The father speaks with unsettling frankness; the son appears conflicted—one hand holding provisions, the other half-raised as if to protest; the scene conveys the tension between survival and righteousness.
The verse exposes moral complacency: benefiting from any means without concern can dull dharma; it sets up the need to choose righteous livelihood.
No tīrtha is named in this verse.
None; it contrasts modes of livelihood rather than prescribing a rite.
