देवाश्चापि हतोत्साहाः प्रहारैः क्षतविक्षताः । मंत्रं चक्रुर्मिथो भूत्वा बृहस्पतिपुरःसराः

devāścāpi hatotsāhāḥ prahāraiḥ kṣatavikṣatāḥ | maṃtraṃ cakrurmitho bhūtvā bṛhaspatipuraḥsarāḥ

Les dieux aussi, l’ardeur brisée et meurtris par les coups, se rassemblèrent et tinrent conseil entre eux, Bṛhaspati à leur tête.
