Tirtha: Kṣemaṃkarī/Kātyāyanī
Type: kshetra
Listener: dvijottamāḥ
Scene: Night of Caitra dark fortnight; aṣṭamī worship at the Devī temple—rows of lamps, devotees queue for darśana; the narrator promises iṣṭa-siddhi to the faithful.
Sacred timing (tithi) joined with Devī-darśana in a holy place is taught as a powerful means for attaining siddhi and auspicious fulfillment.
The Devī’s darśana is framed within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra/Tīrthamāhātmya narrative of the Nāgara Khaṇḍa.
Darśana (beholding the Devī) specifically on Caitra kṛṣṇa Aṣṭamī is prescribed as a merit-bearing observance.
