एवमुक्त्वाऽथ सा साध्वी प्रविष्टा निजहर्म्यवत् । सुसमिद्धो हुतो वह्निर्जातो जलमयः क्षणात्

evamuktvā'tha sā sādhvī praviṣṭā nijaharmyavat | susamiddho huto vahnirjāto jalamayaḥ kṣaṇāt

Après avoir ainsi parlé, cette femme vertueuse entra dans sa demeure. Le feu—bien qu’ardemment attisé et nourri d’offrandes—se changea aussitôt, en un instant, en eau.
