विभीषण उवाच । एवं विभो करिष्यामि तवादेशमसंशयम् । परं त्वया परित्यक्ते मर्त्ये मे जीवितं व्रजेत्
vibhīṣaṇa uvāca | evaṃ vibho kariṣyāmi tavādeśamasaṃśayam | paraṃ tvayā parityakte martye me jīvitaṃ vrajet
Vibhīṣaṇa dit : «Ainsi ferai-je, ô Seigneur ; j’exécuterai ton ordre sans aucun doute. Mais si tu quittes le monde des mortels, ma vie même s’en ira.»
