कथं त्वया जितो देवि ह्यजेयो भुवनत्रये । शिवमेनं न जानासि स्त्रीभावाच्च वरानने
kathaṃ tvayā jito devi hyajeyo bhuvanatraye | śivamenaṃ na jānāsi strībhāvācca varānane
Ô Déesse, comment pourrais-tu avoir « vaincu » Śiva, lui qui est réellement invincible dans les trois mondes ? Ô toi au beau visage, par orgueil de femme tu ne le reconnais pas tel qu’il est en vérité.
