एक एव परं ज्योतिस्तेषामपि च यन्महः । त्रैलोक्यनाथो विश्वात्मा शंकरो लोकशंकरः
eka eva paraṃ jyotisteṣāmapi ca yanmahaḥ | trailokyanātho viśvātmā śaṃkaro lokaśaṃkaraḥ
«Lui seul est la Lumière suprême ; sa splendeur est la gloire même des dieux. Śaṅkara est le Seigneur des trois mondes, l’Âme de l’univers—le bienfaiteur qui apporte le salut aux mondes.»
