Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 94

आयुष्यं च गतं तस्य शिवध्यानपरस्य च । शिवो हि सुलभो लोके पशूनां ज्ञाननिनामपि

āyuṣyaṃ ca gataṃ tasya śivadhyānaparasya ca | śivo hi sulabho loke paśūnāṃ jñānanināmapi

Bien que sa durée de vie s’épuisât, il demeura entièrement voué à la méditation de Śiva ; car en ce monde Śiva est vraiment aisé à atteindre, même pour les âmes liées et même pour ceux dont l’intelligence est faible.
