Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 69

FAQs

Austerity can generate immense power, but without dharma it becomes a cause of oppression and cosmic imbalance.

This verse functions within the Kedāra-khaṇḍa narrative frame; the immediate verse is not a direct tīrtha-glorification, but part of the Kedāra sacred-region storytelling.

None explicitly; the verse references tapas (austerity) as the means of attaining power.
