Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 62

वमनं वै भवद्भिश्च कार्यमद्यैव भोःसुराः । तथेति मत्वा ते सर्व इंद्राद्या देवतागणाः । वेमुः सर्वे तदा विप्रास्तद्रेतः शंकरस्य च

vamanaṃ vai bhavadbhiśca kāryamadyaiva bhoḥsurāḥ | tatheti matvā te sarva iṃdrādyā devatāgaṇāḥ | vemuḥ sarve tadā viprāstadretaḥ śaṃkarasya ca

«Aujourd’hui même, ô dieux, vous devez accomplir l’expulsion (le vomissement), assurément.» Pensant : «Qu’il en soit ainsi», toutes les cohortes divines—à commencer par Indra—l’expulsèrent ; et tous les sages furent témoins de ce retas de Śaṅkara.
