ततोऽवोचन्महातेजा नारदश्चर्षिसत्तमः । ब्रह्माणं पुरतः कृत्वा विष्णुं प्रति सहेतुकम्

tato'vocanmahātejā nāradaścarṣisattamaḥ | brahmāṇaṃ purataḥ kṛtvā viṣṇuṃ prati sahetukam

Alors Nārada, rayonnant d’éclat, le meilleur des sages, prit la parole — plaçant Brahmā au premier rang — et s’adressa à Viṣṇu en exposant l’affaire avec ses raisons.
