तदोवाच महाबाहो गिरिजां प्रहसन्निव । स्वभावेनैव तत्सर्वं जंगमाजंगमं महत् । जातं त्वया मोहितं च त्रिगुणैः परिवेष्टितम्

tadovāca mahābāho girijāṃ prahasanniva | svabhāvenaiva tatsarvaṃ jaṃgamājaṃgamaṃ mahat | jātaṃ tvayā mohitaṃ ca triguṇaiḥ pariveṣṭitam

Alors le Seigneur aux bras puissants répondit à Girijā, comme en souriant : « Par ta propre nature est né tout cet immense monde, le mobile et l’immobile ; et il est aussi dans l’illusion, enveloppé par les trois guṇas. »
