Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) narrating; supplicants are Devas/Dānavas; responder is Mahāviṣṇu (Parameśvara here by context)
Tirtha: Samudra-tīra near Śeṣa-āsana Viṣṇu (mythic setting)
Type: ghat
Scene: Devas and dānavas with folded hands cry ‘Trāhi trāhi’ before Mahāviṣṇu reclining or seated upon Śeṣa; a subtle aura suggests Pārvatī’s fierce tapas as a cosmic heat in the background.
Śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) and humble prayer are upheld as the dharmic response when overwhelmed by forces beyond one’s control.
Kṣīrābdhi (Ocean of Milk) is the divine setting where refuge is sought and the Lord responds.
No formal rite is prescribed; the verse foregrounds supplication (prārthanā) and surrender as the immediate practice.
