Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 12

संकल्पपूर्वेण तदा विधिना विधिकोविदः । संकल्पेनैव महता ववृधे भगवानजः

saṃkalpapūrveṇa tadā vidhinā vidhikovidaḥ | saṃkalpenaiva mahatā vavṛdhe bhagavānajaḥ

Alors, celui qui maîtrisait la règle rituelle l’accomplit selon le juste procédé, précédé d’un saṅkalpa solennel. Et par la seule force de ce grand saṅkalpa, le Seigneur non-né (Aja) commença à s’étendre.
