विरोचनगृहं प्राप्त इंद्रो वाक्यमुवाच ह । स्थविरो ब्राह्मणो भूत्वा देहीति मम सुव्रत । मनस्वी त्वं च दैत्येंद्र दाता च भुवनत्रये

virocanagṛhaṃ prāpta iṃdro vākyamuvāca ha | sthaviro brāhmaṇo bhūtvā dehīti mama suvrata | manasvī tvaṃ ca daityeṃdra dātā ca bhuvanatraye

Parvenu à la demeure de Virocana, Indra déclara : «Ayant pris l’apparence d’un brāhmaṇa âgé, je te demande : donne-moi, ô toi aux vœux excellents. Tu es noble de cœur, ô seigneur des Daityas, et renommé comme donateur dans les trois mondes.»
