Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 10

तस्यास्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा कश्यपो वाक्यमब्रवीत् । तपसा महता तन्वि जानीहि त्वं च भामिनि । अजेया ह्यसुराः साध्वि भृगुणा ह्यनुमोदिताः

tasyāstadvacanaṃ śrutvā kaśyapo vākyamabravīt | tapasā mahatā tanvi jānīhi tvaṃ ca bhāmini | ajeyā hyasurāḥ sādhvi bhṛguṇā hyanumoditāḥ

Ayant entendu ses paroles, Kaśyapa déclara : «Sache, ô femme au corps svelte, ô dame au cœur ardent : c’est par une grande austérité (tapas) seule que cela peut être accompli. Car les Asura sont vraiment invincibles, ô vertueuse, puisqu’ils ont l’assentiment de Bhṛgu.»
