इन्द्र उवाच । दधीचस्य वधाद्ब्रह्मन्नहं भीतो न संशयः । तस्माद्ब्रह्मवधात्सत्यं महदेनो भविष्यति

indra uvāca | dadhīcasya vadhādbrahmannahaṃ bhīto na saṃśayaḥ | tasmādbrahmavadhātsatyaṃ mahadeno bhaviṣyati

Indra dit : «Ô brahmane, je suis saisi de crainte à cause de la mise à mort de Dadhīci ; il n’y a nul doute. Ainsi, du meurtre d’un brāhmaṇa naîtra, en vérité, un grand péché.»
